Class Tuning Notes: Warrior Rage Generation, Dual-Wield & Protection Updates
The latest official developer tuning pass brings targeted changes to Warrior combat flow in the beta. Review the updates to baseline rage normalization, Dual Wield Specialization, and defensive stance threat modifiers.
Blizzard combat designers released a dedicated blue post addressing Warrior leveling velocity and resource generation during the 1–30 beta bracket.
Rage Generation Adjustments
In lower-level classic brackets, Warrior combat has traditionally felt starved for rage during missed swings. The tuning update normalizes baseline rage earned on weapon swings to provide a smoother rotational flow while leveling.
Warrior Developer Modifications
Low-level weapon damage scaling adjusted so glancing and partial swings produce consistent minimum rage.
Off-hand damage penalty tuned in Fury tree to support early dual-wielding weapon builds.
Early Protection talent scaling adjusted to allow sword-and-board Warriors to hold threat more reliably in Hall of Thanes.
