With under 48 hours until realms unlock, Blizzard has confirmed the launch day maintenance timeline starting at 10:00 AM PST on Wednesday, November 4, leading directly into a simultaneous 3:00 PM PST global unlock across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
The countdown to World of Warcraft: Forever is officially in its final 48 hours. Today, Blizzard Entertainment published the comprehensive launch day deployment schedule, confirming a scheduled 5-hour global maintenance window on Wednesday, November 4, before realms unlock simultaneously across every continent at 3:00 PM PST (23:00 UTC).
The Final Maintenance Window: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM PST
Beginning at 10:00 AM PST on Wednesday, November 4, all authentication servers and realm infrastructure will enter a synchronized maintenance phase. During these five hours, engineers will deploy Launch Build 71220, spin up initial megaserver layers, and finalize database replication across Americas, European, and Asia-Pacific datacenters.
Simultaneous Global Unlock Timetable
Unlike phased regional rollouts of past expansions, WoW Forever will unlock for all players at the exact same moment worldwide. Here is when the gates open in your regional timezone:
Megaserver Dynamic Layering Architecture
To eliminate server queues and avoid community fragmentation, WoW Forever operates on unified megaservers separated solely by ruleset: Normal (PvE), PvP, RP-PvP, and Hardcore. Blizzard has configured dynamic layer capacity with reduced player density thresholds in starting zones (such as Northshire Abbey and Valley of Trials) to prevent spawn bottlenecking during the initial rush.
As players level out of initial zones into Westfall, Loch Modan, and the Barrens, layers will automatically merge to maintain an organic, bustling world experience.
