Beta Patch Update: Level Cap Raised to 30, Hall of Thanes & Ruins of Lordaeron Unlocked

Blizzard has officially increased the WoW Forever beta level cap to 30. Testers can now queue for the Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon wings, explore Zephras Isle, and test level 20–30 class talent tiers.

The WoW Forever closed beta testing realm has received a major milestone update, raising the maximum character level from 20 to 30 and unlocking two dedicated classic plus dungeon wings for testing.

Level Cap Increased to 30

Players can now progress their characters to level 30, unlocking tier 3 and tier 4 talent tree specializations across all 9 classes. This allows testing of pivotal mid-game mechanics including Druid Travel Form, Shaman Ghost Wolf, Rogue Vanish, and Warrior Berserker Stance.

Beta Testing Inclusions

  • ▸Hall of Thanes (Levels 13–18): Dwarven underground dungeon wing featuring Magmatus and Thane Gorerunner.
  • ▸Ruins of Lordaeron (Levels 15–20): Forsaken underground citadel with custom undead encounter mechanics.
  • ▸Zephras Isle & The Riverglades: Open for questing, resource gathering, and rare mob encounter testing.
  • ▸Rain visibility and ambient weather lighting system hotfixes deployed across Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms.

Testing Duration

According to Blizzard's developer notes, this beta testing phase will remain live through October 21, 2026, leading into character name reservations and the official global launch.
